Many provisions have been made under the POCSO Act for the protection of minor children and this is a very important law for the victim in case of physical molestation of a girl below 18 years of age or if the child is forced or raped. Therefore this law applies to the accused. And within this law the punishment given in 2012 has been increased in 2019 and there have been many serious discussions for this law by the court. The Supreme Court has also made several orders within the law which are beneficial for the protection of children and judges of the Gujarat High Court have also given opinions to guide the government in studying this law. Minor children do not understand the seriousness of this law if they are informed about POCSO law many children can avoid such crimes and such crimes can be reduced.
