people were given important information about the SIR process in the SIR Awareness Camp organized by Aftab Ansari of Jamaat-e-Islami near Madrasa Mahe Alam – Mariam Bibi Masjid at Gomtipur, Ahmedabad.
Advocate Shamshad Pathan and Advocate Imtiyazkhan Pathan were present as the main speakers of the program.
They gave detailed explanations on the following points 👇
Guidelines for filling the form
1️⃣ If your name is in the SIR list of 2002 — fill in column no. 1 and 2.
2️⃣ If your name is not there, but your mother, father, grandfather or grandmother’s name is there — fill in column no. 1 and 3.
3️⃣ If neither yours nor anyone in your family — fill in column no. 1 only.
The job of determining categories like “A, B, C, D, E, F” is solely that of BLO, ERO and DEO.
So, there should be no confusion or misunderstanding about this.
Important clarification
Recently, some people are spreading false information that
PAN Card or Driving License will also be considered valid evidence in the SIR process —
But this claim is completely false.
Only such PAN cards and licenses will be considered valid,
Which are from 1987 or earlier.
Also, the identity card given by any MLA or MP is not legally valid.
Therefore, it is requested not to spread false information and take proper guidance.
Advocate Shamshad Pathan emphasized in the program that —
“This process is related to our fundamental rights as voters,
And it is our duty for every citizen to fill the form correctly and keep his name in the list.”
